I have gotten several assorted comments on posts regarding prayer requests, so I am starting this page on the blog for prayer requests. Please be advised these are monitored and not all will be printed in the case that they are someone repeatedly requesting the same need and/or they are in any way disrespectful. Please be considerate, if you choose to reply to a prayer with your intention to pray for the person. What may be a small issue to you, could be a very big issue to someone else! Thanks!

I have a prayer request: Rosie is a teacher at the same school my husband works at. We have become good friends. A week ago today her beautiful, outgoing, sweet 19-year-old daughter died in a car accident. Yesterday was the funeral.

My cousin’s son Patrick, age 15, was born with a complex medical problem. A few weeks ago he had another cranial/spinal surgery. He’s in great pain as he recovers. There’s some fluid leaking from his spinal cord and other complications and he may need further surgery. Please pray for both Patrick and his family as they live through this extreme trial.

Patrick has been recovering nicely. He’s been such a trooper as he deals with the pain and scariness of the surgery.
My Grandma died 1-14-11. I am still having a hard time dealing with life without her. I miss her SO MUCH. She was like a second mom to me and in some ways, more of a mom than my own. Please pray for me during this difficult time.
I just found this page after my priest told me about St. Lucy. My daughter may be losing her eye sight. We just found this out. She is the sole provider for her family. Please if my Amy could be put on your prayer list I would apprediate it and you all will always be in my prayers. We have to go to another specialist Aug. 17. Please pray for my daughter.

A few years ago I did a year of full time volunteer service with Respite Care of San Antonio’s Davidson House. I pray daily for the children and caregivers there. Davidson House is a beautiful place for children with disabilities. If parents need a break (they must go out of town, or to the hospital) their children can stay at Respite Care. Sadly about two thirds of the children at the house have been removed from their homes for abuse or neglect. Here they can heal. Nurses and caregivers see to their needs, physical and emotional. Children begin to thrive who had been in bad, erratic environments. Pray for the children so that they start to thrive and for the caregivers who do such good work. I also ask for people to pray for children who will return to new or old homes to live permanently. I so hope they go to healthy, stable, loving homes.
Please pray for the return to the faith of Stephanie Pritchett, Steven Mergler, Lisa Mergler, Matthew Mergler, Beth Norris, Shirley Winterhalter, Regina Berens, Norma Butler and Kathleen Gorman.

I found your site while looking for a novena to St. Lucy. Please pray for my baby, Max who has bilateral retinoblastoma. Please also pray for a little boy in the RB community who had some complications during radiation. The doctors told the mom to pray for a miracle, so that he doesn’t loose his eye( s). I ask prayers for my daughter Aja Anavi. She recently got engaged, to a young man whom she has known for less than a year and does not believe in God. He claims to be an atheist. She has been brought up in the Christian faith and until now had strong convictions of marrying someone equally yoked. I spoke to him to let him know where we stand. He became very argumentative and confessed that he did not believe and would never believe in GOD. I told him I would pray for him so that he would have a relationship with God. He told me not to bother not to pray for him, that he believed in himself. He seeks control and is manipulative. My daughter has become very submissive, when she was never that way. He wants to posses her and has made me seem like the enemy. I also pray that she is set free from sexual sin. I pray that the veil that blinds my daughter’s eyes be removed so that she sees the truth and the truth will set her free. I pray she accepts an invitation to go to Guatemala to do missionary work so she can get away and break free of this spirit. I pray she will meet a young man who is equally yoked, Christian young man who has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Please pray for my daughter as they plan to marry in at the ending of July. Please pray that the wedding day be moved to a later date. I put on the armor of God to fight this spirit of heaviness, and that the heaviness in my heart eases. Many nights I lay awake crying my self to sleep. Please pray for my daughter as she is my only child. I ask God for strength to fight this spiritual war. Thank you as I know the Lord will hear your prayers.

Please take away all the pain and hurt in my heart. Fill it with love, joy, patience, and understanding. My mom needs back surgery and is anxious about this. Also, my father’s doing a valiant job housekeeping, but is struggling a bit. Prayers needed for both of them.
